This online course examines the principles of dimensional metrology, applied precision measuring instruments relating to the geometric features and complex measuring instruments. Topics will include optical, electronic and pneumatic instruments and co-ordinate measuring machines. The integration of the measuring instruments within the manufacturing cell is studied together with the required interface devices.
