SWL147 - Field Work Seminar I

Prerequisites:

SSW101, SWL136

This course is an introduction to the principles and practice of Social Service Work from a strength based perspective. Students are exposed to the knowledge, skills and values associated with practice in an agency setting. Ethical and legal issues in Social Work will be examined, as well as the roles and functions of Social Workers. Students will also be assisted in the process of selecting a field practicum which responds to each individual's interests and training needs, and meets the criteria established by the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Social Service Worker Diploma Program.
