Educational institutions play a special role in building a more equitable world. We are many things — an employer, a teacher, a gathering place, social venue and community space — and we have unique opportunities to offer mentorship and support, modelling examples by what we do, how we do it and the environment we create for teaching and learning.

As part of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Au Large, we are working to build the equitable ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, free of systemic racism and discrimination.

Everyone is responsible for equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives for students and employees to be integrated successfully at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

Whether it’s better representation in our classroom and curriculum, resources for students in need, accessibility for all or ensuring everyone’s rights are recognized, there is much work to be done.

At ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, we are a global community of many races, religions, genders, sexual orientations and ethnicities. We bring countless experiences, abilities, ways of learning and cultural backgrounds.

Our community has also experienced discrimination, abuse and barriers to education and security. This motivates us to be change-makers. To say we will do better.

Together, we share a common objective to build a better world for everyone. This is shown in the many ways we give back to our students and communities. We tell our stories proudly and engage in conversations and take action to influence change.

Education is a game-changer for individuals and their families. We want to ensure that a great ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø education is in reach for anyone and everyone looking to pursue it.

We also want to make sure that everyone at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø feels welcome, seen, heard and supported inside and outside the classroom. This isn’t always easy and it is always a work in progress.

Each day, we make a collective effort to remove barriers to education, recognize our differences and create a healthy, safe and inclusive learning and working environment.
