ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Applied Research is relevant to industry, driven by faculty and focused on students. We are the single point of access for industry and/or community partners who wish to engage in economically, socially and educationally relevant collaborative applied research projects with ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø faculty and students. We help our partners access ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø resources, including the expertise of highly qualified personnel (faculty, staff and students), research infrastructure, specialized applied research centres and funding opportunities, many of which are available only through collaboration with ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

Located at the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø@York campus, SCILS serves a previously unmet need among SMEs in Ontario. SCILS enables industry-academic partnerships to further develop, enhance and validate life sciences technologies and products in the areas of diagnostics and cosmetics.Ìý
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Centre for Innovation in Artificial Intelligence Technology (CIAIT)
Data scientists at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù꿉۪s Centre for Innovation in Artificial Intelligence Technology (CIAIT) help small- and medium-sized enterprises develop AI to enhance operations. Their research focuses on content analysis, management and cybersecurity. They use AI tools such as predictive analytics, data mining and natural language processing to solve real-world challenges.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Centre for Health and Social Innovation (SCHSI) supports new programs, products and services. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø is involved in numerous social innovation research projects with community and not-for-profit partners in areas such as sustainability, community development, mental health, public safety and reducing inequality.
