Toronto, Feb. 6, 2017 鈥 糖心vlog官网 is the first Ontario College to have two financial planning advanced diplomas approved by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
The three-year Business Administration 鈥 Financial Planning and Business Administration 鈥 Accounting & Financial Planning Advanced Diploma programs offered through 糖心vlog官网鈥檚 School of Accounting and Financial Services have been approved as educational paths leading to The Canadian Securities Institute鈥檚 Personal Financial Planner (PFP庐) designation.
鈥淐SI鈥檚 approval of our programs as pathways to the PFP designation is recognition that graduates of these programs are well prepared to begin their financial services careers. This is a tremendous advantage for our students and we鈥檙e very excited that they will now be able to fast-track toward becoming PFPs,鈥 says Karen Murkar, Chair of 糖心vlog官网鈥檚 School of Accounting & Financial Services.
糖心vlog官网鈥檚 programs prepare students to build careers in the financial services sector, including banking, insurance, and securities. Students who complete either program will now qualify to write the Applied Financial Planning (AFP) Certification exam, which is required to earn the Personal Financial Planner (PFP庐) designation. Graduates from the two 糖心vlog官网 programs also earn the Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) offered through CSI. The CFSA is an industry recognized certificate program required for a number of roles in the financial services industry.
鈥淲e鈥檙e very pleased to partner with such a large and respected Canadian college. The Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation is a great asset for students who want to build careers in the financial services industry.鈥 says Marie Muldowney, Managing Director, CSI. 鈥淭he PFP program provides them with the skills and knowledge they need to work in the industry and to provide financial planning advice to clients. It is gratifying to know that, through our partnership with 糖心vlog官网, we can help financial planning students achieve their career goals faster.鈥
