Admission Criteria

If you have completed one or more years of any academic program at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, you can transfer to any undergraduate degree at Brock University, provided you meet specific admission and prerequisite requirements. General policy: Graduates of a three-year diploma program with a 3.0 GPA (B/70%) in the last two semesters of a three-year diploma program will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to 7.5 credits depending on the compatibility of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed a two-year program with a cumulative average of 3.0 GPA (B/ 70%) will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to five credits, depending on the compatibility of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed one year of an academic college program, or graduates of a one-year academic certificate with a cumulative average of 75% will be considered for admission. In cases where course learning outcomes align with university-level studies, transfer credit may be awarded on a case-by-case basis.

Admission is not guaranteed by attainment of the minimum requirements.Ìý

The awarding of transfer credit is based primarily upon:

  • compatibility of the college program with the Brock program

  • course content

  • grades achieved in each subjectÌý


ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Program: Early Childhood Education

Degree: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours)

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average in the Early Childhood Education diploma program is required for entry to Brock University. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Program: Recreation & Leisure Services

Degree: Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Services

Graduates of this ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø program with a minimum cumulative average of 70%/3.0 GPA are eligible to apply and receive up to 6.0 credits towards the Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Services. Graduates of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Diploma program dating back to Spring 2022 are eligible for admission through this pathway. Successful completion of the Diploma program will satisfy admission prerequisite subject requirements for entry to the Recreation & Leisure Studies degree program. Students with a 75%+ average will receive 6.0 transfer credits and students with a 70-74.9% average will receive 5.0.
