- There is only one institution in Ontario that provides veterinarian training: the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph.
- All applicants must pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE). If the exam is not passed in two attempts, successful completion of the Clinical Proficiency Exam (CPE), a hands-on, practical exam, is required once the NAVLE has been passed (The College of Veterinarians of Ontario).
- Veterinarian licences in Ontario are renewed annually. In 2018, 4,878 licences were issued by The College of Veterinarians of Ontario.Ìý Ìý
