ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Program

Degree Program and Institution

Why did you choose to study at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø? What program did you enter?

When I was about to graduate high school, I felt unsure about what would be next for me. I didn’t feel quite ready for university, and I didn’t know what career path I wanted to follow. At the time, my brother was enrolled at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and was taking Human Resources Management. I would overhear him study and I realized I understood the concepts quite well. This led to an easy decision to join the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø community and it ended up being the bridge I needed post-high school. I enrolled in the Business Administration – Human Resources program and completed my three-year advanced diploma between 2004 and 2007, with honours.Ìý

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø provided me the confidence I needed as a young student coming out of high school. It gave me a safe space to learn as well as the tools and skills necessary for the real world. What are you up to now?Ìý

After I graduated from the human resources programs at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Toronto Metropolitan University, I enrolled with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) to obtain my Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations.

My career began soon after graduating and I moved directly into the human resources field, working in both the recruitment and benefits departments. As my career grew, I began to specialize in the importance of employee engagement, and I found a career home in change management.
