Tarah Burke is a professor in the School of Fashion and manages the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Fashion Resource Centre. She worked as a costume designer and technician for film and television, a cross-promotional product developer and a strategic production management consultant before transitioning to a career in postsecondary education.
Ms. Burke has a bachelor of arts from the London College of Fashion and a master’s from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). In addition, she studied international fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s New York, Paris and Florence campuses. Ms. Burke is currently doing her PhD at TMU, where her research focuses on recontextualizing and diversifying an experiential fashion learning tool to support the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
