At HELIX, we understand that in order to support the world’s future intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs, access to barrier-free supports and resources are required. This allows them to develop their innovation mindset accordingly.

In 2021, HELIX hosted more than 130 virtual entrepreneurship and innovation events. In turn, these events provided support to more than 13,000 individuals. HELIX coaches and mentors provided more than 1,310 hours of virtual mentoring.

Since 2014, HELIX, ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s innovation and entrepreneurship incubator, has supported ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø students, graduates and members of the community in developing their innovation mindset. HELIX’s engaging innovation programming enables participants to grow and develop as an entrepreneur or intrapreneur.

HERizons was developed to support women who are seeking career advancement, re-entering the workforce or starting their own businesses. Programing is helping to dismantle gender barriers in the workplace by providing free career support and training specifically developed for women.

HERizons is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Adult Learning, Literacy and Essential Skills –Ìý.

Career Recharge, presented by TD, is an innovative initiative designed for future career planningwhether that means re-entering the workforce, advancing in your field, changing careers or starting a new venture.

HELIX RISE, presented by Scotiabank, is an annual one-day summit that provides women, gender diverse and racialized people at all stages of their careers the opportunity to cultivate sought-after job skills and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

This initiative reflects the commitment of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Scotiabank to foster education, economic inclusion and resiliency.

The inaugural summit took place on Nov. 17, 2022 and focused on financial wellbeing and personal branding.

The HELIX Catalyst Fund provides micro grants of up to $5,000 to vetted HELIX ventures.Ìý This funding removes fiscal barriers that prohibit HELIX ventures from moving forward to the next level. HELIXers at any stage of their business development,from validating their idea to launching and scaling, can apply for catalyst funding support. In 2022, HELIX Catalyst Fund supported 21 accelerating HELIXers with more than $91,000!
